Mission Statement

David “D.J.” Carlson or DJ as everyone knew him, was one of the most remarkable individuals anyone ever had the pleasure of meeting. DJ was killed in an automobile accident on November 19, 2012. He was 19 years old when he was taken from us.

D.J. was not your typical teenager; he was the type of young man people were drawn to. He was a remarkable young man with a love of God, family, and friends, making it easy for us to honor him.

The "D.J. Carlson Memorial Fund" is dedicated to helping support high school students in their dream of college education, stimulate and nurture the community youths' natural interest in 4H and FFA and help them to discover the power through agriculture science, community, or the State of Texas. It has also established DJ's Locker benefiting Devine Middle and High School to help with school supplies, uniforms, and much, much more.

All Day Admission to Grounds: $10 (admission included with registration)
DJ Carlson Memorial Fund will not be responsible for any theft or damage
Adults & Youth:
Check-in: 08:00 am (prayer)
Safety Meeting: 08:45 am
First Shot: 9:00 am
1st Place Shooting Team
Top Overall Shooter: Buckle
Top Female Shooter: Buckle
Top Male Team: Buckle
Top Female Team: Buckle

Top Youth Male: Buckle + $1,000 Scholarship

BBQ Cook-Off Entry form and Check in:
**Cook teams registered online by August 21, 2023 will be entered to win a $100 gift card**

Check-in time will be 12:00 - 8:00 PM on September 8th
Cooks meeting will be held at 6:30 PM on Friday, September 8th
All teams must check-in with a committee member

Four (4) categories will be judged:
Chicken - in accordance with International Bar-B-Que Cookers Association rules

Only St. Louis Cut, Spare Ribs, or Baby Back Ribs are allowed
